In the year 2148, humanity discovered Prothean ruins on Mars. The remnants of Prothean technology scattered amongst these ruins allowed them to develop mass effect fields and faster-than-light travel. This led them to discover and reactivate the mass relay at the edges of Earth's solar system, giving them access to the mass relay network spanning the rest of the galaxy and bringing them into contact with the greater galactic community.
In the decades since their first encounter with the greater galactic community, humanity has risen quickly to prominence, establishing colonies throughout the stars. Humans are generally seen as intelligent, aggressive, and highly adaptable. Their brisk population growth and rapidly developing military strength led to resentful speculation that the newcomers will soon be given an invitation to join the ranks of the Council itself.
In the year 2183, after the success of Commander Shepard's war against the Geth and the Reapers, humanity was finally given a seat on the Council. Along with this, came not only a greater responsibility for the protection of Citadel space, but also for peaceful interaction with other Citadel races, particularly Council races. Therefore now, three years later, it is not uncommon to see a Turian, Asari or Salarian serving onboard a Systems Alliance vessel under a human Commander - and occasionally the crews of more open minded COs also have races such as the Krogan and Quarian in their ranks.
Commander Maddox is one of these COs, and will gladly welcome any alien who wishes to join his crew - after they have passed the standard Alliance military checks. Commander Maddox commands the SSV Britannia SR-3 - the third Stealth Reconnaissance vessel produced by the Alliance, modelled after the famous SSV Normandy. While equipped with the same stealth technologies as her sister ship, the Britannia is equipped with a small short range shuttle in it's rear hold, along with the standard single Mako, which allows travel to places without a docking bay large enough for the Britannia herself. She also has four decks - one additional one with access provided via the elevator. This deck contains most of the sleeping pods, and a couple of joint office spaces for staff.
This magnificent ship is in need of crew to staff it - people like you. Do you fancy being a hot-shot pilot, dodging between debris and weapons fire? Or do you prefer to be the one who fires that perfect shot? Or the man who keeps the enormous Tantalus drive core running?
Perhaps you don't like life at the controls of a ship? Then join the Marine detachment, and shoot some Geth today!

Category: Website Update
I'm not sure when I'll be doing this update, but while it is in progress the main website will be offline or troublesome - the forums will remain unaffected. When the update is complete, there may be some bugs which I'll need you to let me know of when you find them, and the skin will revert back to those that are default for SMS - I'll be working on modifying the custom skin to fit the new software version as quickly as I can.
